3 tips when segmenting audiences for Tourism ads.

1️⃣ Do not use remarketing only to re-display the same content/offer, use it to move your potential customer forward within a funnel. This journey is important to build/add value and bring them closer and closer to the purchase.

💪 Practical example: Sponsor a video content about your tourism product, and whoever watched X% of that video will be reached by remarketing with content that takes them to an article on your blog with valuable tips about your product/destination. Right after that, another round of remarketing for whoever accessed that content, taking them to an offer with an engaging sales pitch connected to the content they already saw earlier.

2️⃣ Direct communication to strategic cities and regions focused on their local/regional holidays, which will most likely be low season at your destination. This way you stop focusing only on national holidays and competing for more contested destinations.

💪 Practical example: If you already know there will be a holiday in Florianópolis on March 23, 2020, a Monday, and if it is a potential audience for your product/destination, you already know you can work, a few months/weeks earlier, on communication directed only at that city, as a suggestion to make the most of the long weekend.

3️⃣ People who are visiting your city and are not from your city, great for local businesses, attractions, hotels for last-minute customers, transportation, etc.

💪 Practical example: A great opportunity to promote your tourism product to those who are already at your destination. The purchase potential is even greater because the intent to consume is immediate. The amount allocated tends to be lower because it is a much smaller audience than the one outside your destination.
